01 / 29This route crosses two parts of the country that have almost nothing in common. It begins southeast of Dhaka at Sonargaon, the old capital of Bengal, now the national folk art and crafts centre, and at Panam City beside it — a single street of merchant houses standing empty and slowly losing to the weather. From there it goes out onto the Meghna, one of the great rivers of the delta, where whole communities live on islands the water redraws every monsoon. Then northeast into Sylhet Division, where the flat delta gives way to low hills carpeted in tea — estates planted under the British in the 1850s and still worked by the descendants of the labourers brought in to plant them. Srimangal is the centre of the tea country and the gateway to Lawachara, a patch of semi-evergreen rainforest holding hoolock gibbons. Further north are two things you will not find anywhere else in Bangladesh: Ratargul, the country's only freshwater swamp forest, and Lalakhal, where the river runs an improbable blue-green down from the Indian hills.
The first morning belongs to Sonargaon and to Panam City beside it, a street of abandoned merchant houses that is worth the early start. Then a cruise on the Meghna, stopping at river islands where families live with water on every side, before the drive northeast to Srimangal and the first night. Day two is tea country: Lawachara eco forest, an ethnic village, Madhabpur Lake and a tea estate, with the seven-layer tea that Srimangal insists cannot be made properly anywhere else — and, where it can be arranged, a cultural performance by the local ethnic community in the evening. Day three is a three-hour drive north to Sylhet, lunch after check-in, and then Ratargul, the country's only freshwater swamp forest, seen from a small boat in among the trees. Day four starts on the water at Lalakhal and ends in Dhaka in the afternoon, with a drop at your hotel or the airport.

Day 1
At morning we visit Sonargaon and Panam city. Sonargaon is the old capital of Bengal which belongs a rich history. Now it represents as our culture and folk centre. Then we visit Panam city. It is situated just beside sonargaon which is called ruined city stands for over 200 years. You will amazed to see these beautiful beautiful buildings. After that go for a cruise in the river named Meghna which is the longest river of the country. We visit some river island and see the people's lifestyle. Then we start journey towards Srimangal. Reach at evening and night stay.
Day 2
Visit Lauachara eco forest, ethnic people's village, Madhabpur lake and tea garden. Taste the traditional 7 coloured tea. At evening If possible we will arrange a cultural show of our ethnic people. Night stay at Hotel.
Day 3
After breakfast we headed to Sylhet. Approximately 3 hours drive. Check in at Hotel and go for lunch. Then Explore the only swamp forest named Ratargul. Enjoy the natural beauty by boat. Come back at evening. Night stay at Hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast we will start journey towards Lalakhal lake and go for a boat trip into the blue water. Enjoying the lifestyle of people. After the boat trip we start journey towards Dhaka. Reach Dhaka at afternoon. Drop you at hotel/airport. Tour ends.
